  So here yesterday and has a plug made for regulator's +/= leads and and as I have a Denso 120amp (60 at idle.) modification I'll need a set of stock hardware to mount it. While waiting I'll mess with my "Fleet Upgrade" wiring and adapt everything else to fit.
  My experience has been to change any one thing you must change at least 3 others!  :lol:

Which Mega amp alternator did you get?  I tired the 140 one. I wasn't getting much voltage difference at my idle settings. So sent it back. Currently got a 140 amp from power bastards. It was a nice improvement. When at idle in park or neutral all good. Go to drive and the idle drop would cause discharge. Big issue is it makes a heck of a lot of noise. Think the bearing is going so back to the old one until I decide who to try next or again.

  Mine is listed for 120amp at idle, single pulley 2 wire regulator 150 max I think. The pulley is much smaller then my Denso's.
  I'm doing this cuz I added a booster fan when I installed A/C which I run all the time in FL. , at idle under full load the Denso is good for just a bit under 60amp with max at 120amps.
  Are you talking VOLTS or AMPS? I got there 2 wire regulator (18.00) and it's adjustable.

Well the cars amp gauge was going negative when running at idle.  I think in the 750 to 800 rpm range.  Been a few years now.  I do run idle lower so it doesn't jerk bad going into gear.  I have a 2 pulley ac car.  I can't remember if I was using the multimeter to check amps or not. I dont have any major accessories but just sitting at a light with the brakes on with no heat it couldn't keep up.  The power bastards one they actually stated an amperage at 800 rpm.  So just a little extra throttle at in gear it kept everything positive amps.

Do any of you have problems with the belt squealing? I have a single belt 136 amp alternator from a Dodge van, and it sometimes squeals. I have my idle set at around 1,000 RPM

  Okay brackets swapped a bit of a pain coming from Denso's not stock stuff.Next the output stud is 5/16th so now to dill out connectors.  :scratchchin:

  Okay all done (I think) factory 12V+ drilled to 5/16th and changed lug on "Fleet Upgrade" to a 5/16 to handle power a bit better. Runs fine nice and stable, I'll check again tonight with all lights running, A/C but I'm very optimistic. The Denso was better than stock for certain but the added fan for extra A/C cooling had it just over idle's output limit.
  I swear The Charger drives better with full voltage feeding everything! I use to panic at red lights at night or in the rain with the ALT gauge swinging back and forth while I shifted into neutral and back to drive to keep the old factory alt. at a higher RPM to raise output voltage/amps.  :2thumbs:

Good to hear. Which amperage one did you get?  Now that i am back to stock i am back to having to drop to neutral again. Which sucks.

I have the 150amp. (Cheapest) 70 year model duel field single V pulley. I recommend getting the HD regulator for 18.00 if you have duel ield it's set at 14.5 volts so better. (It's adjustable.)

I used a Dayco 15455 belt for a "No A/c" system. (I have Classic Auto Air added.) Tonight's test run was perfect my LED headlights were bright and wipers ran strong.  :cheers:
