2 years off & wrong carb but I thought I'd post it anyways.  This was a Barrett car, '66 Coronet 383/4barrell.

I'm just trying to show more.  Geez, you don't have to yell at me like that!

I'm kinda sensitive you know.   ;)

ODZKing

LOL!  Barrett car, that figures.
It's funny there is a thread about them on another forum.
I feel they have done more to hurt this hobby than anything else.  Just my opinion.

Now that I know what I'm looking for I can't seem to find one anywhere. Probably passed on 4 of them and then bought the wrong one while trying to figure it out. :brickwall: I'm about ready to get this one and forget the whole thing.

How often do you think people will know the difference?

I know I don't.  Ask Jone-see what he did with it.   :RantExplode:

Jone-see.

Well, the good news is that Mancini air cleaner is $50-$70 less than any other I've seen like it, and it comes with a filter element. It's also $100-$300 less than a correct used one depending on who's selling.

I'd get the unsilenced one. I like them. I never really cared for the dual snorkel (or any snorkel). I couldn't tell you which one was correct - probably even if I had a week to study them.

Troy
Sarcasm detector, that's a real good invention.

I think it only took us 5 days to figure it out to within 85% certainty. :rotz: But the thread is two weeks old. At least we've got lots of good reference pics here now.

By the way, does someone reproduce new seals for these things?

If you're talking about the lower plate rubbery thing, yes.  Got mine at DMT.
I can't find it on their website but I got 2 from them at Carlisle.
Here it is on EBay

A little follow-up. Yesterday I bought the one pictured below. Based on the pics and what we discussed here it looks to be the correct one. It cost a little more than average but it will come out the same because the seller offered free shipping. So now I'll have to blast it and paint it and then get a new seal, filter element and stud/wingnut.

Which brings up another question. Which filter element fits these things?

I thought maybe I should post pics of the conclusion to this thread, even though it's already in my restoration thread.
