On a thrid gen, back in the day when I wanted to put 2 speakers in the rear of my Charger, I removed the rear blower from the speaker position and simply mounted it to the rear seat cross bars.
I have seen 3rd gens that have both rear speakers but don't remember what they'd done with the blower motor.
Any one moved theirs and have any pictures?
I thought they made some sort of adapter to move it elsewhere but naturally I'd never find one now.
But I saw one (again, 35 years ago) that had been mounted under the speaker or next to it. Any one ever seen that?
What has everyone else done?

I have heard and seen the special adapter for the speaker and blower if ordered on cars....hard to describe on computer....it's a housing that goes in between the blower motor and speaker

Yes, got an answer on the other forum.  Repop at PG Classics and expensive too.

THEORICALLY not an option on B bodies, at least 3 gens. Just C and E

Are you meaning that the defroster isn't an option on 3rd gens or the defrost WITH the extra speakers?

ODZKing

The 2 speakers wasn't an option with defrost.  In 74 they went to the lines in the window anyway.
But I have seen this on a third gen back in the day.  Probably a dealer saying "why wouldn't this work on a b body" and put one on when a customer wanted 2 speakers.

Nacho-RT74

exactly... dual REAR speakers ( stereo ) wasn't an option on B bodies when rear deff BLOWER KIND was present sicne the adapter wasn't an option on B bodies. I think some related about trunk lid rods clearence. They usually have a bracket to hold the rear weight, and there is not ( I think ) enough room to fit the extra bracket.

I have an adapter, but haven't checked yet to be sure about the clearence

you could get stereos setup though with rear deffog ( and without too ), being front left chanel and rear, right channel.

or dual mono.

rear dual speakers it was left and right, and front still was left channel ( you got two lefts on audio systems LOL )
