you can wire in the Bosch 5 pin relay to replace the OE ones. There is a thread here on the forum

so here's what I've discovered , I have a three way switch that activates the headlight doors  so iv got working headlights/doors  :woohoo:  I have no relay under dash  :shruggy:  all I found was flasher can next to ashtray have threaded holes next to can ,I'm thinking for relay bracket ? so have they bypassed the relay to mount 3 way switch ? last question should my headlight doors make an auditable noise when they get to the end of up/down (sounds like a gate slamming ,made me jump first time I hooked battery up and doors shut ) everything (doors /grill) lines up perfect  but   :2thumbs:

                                                                                                                                                     thanks Phil

Phil, did it come from the factory with this option? It almost sounds like someone did an exchange and dit not finish. Are door springs installed?

Like you wrote, the springs are there and in the right location. The 3 way switch, is that power left and right and off in middle? You should also have a 5 amp breaker to keep from overloading the motor.

yes up /off/down  ,will look for the breaker and if it doesn't have one get one and install .thanks for the advise        Phil

I would replace that switch with an original relay and breaker or the bosh relay as written already. Better than having a fire or burned up motor.

have ordered the repo one from charger specialties   :2thumbs:  where do I get the 5 amp breakers ? parts store here keeps trying to sell me fuses ,am I missing something in translation from us to Aussie   e.g. bulb holder/ socket
