If someone is asking 45k for a 69 500 hemi car that needs a total restoration even if it is on the high side in my opinion then what would be a realistic price for a 69 500 440 car that needs a complete restoration comparable to the 69 500 hemi car?

Depending on how solid it is - $20 - $30 k.  Other factors include numbers matching / documentation / metal replacement .....

:popcrn:  values can be wide IMO with colors, hemi and "dedication" of buyer or seller being motivated or not....

If that green one was a real "value" it would have sold at that show. :Twocents:

Do you have photos?

It needs the everything kit, and it's not numbers matching.  It comes with an unassembled Hemi, supposedly complete.

How little do you ask for a project car, though?  What's the floor for a hemi aero car?

I agree with the 20K-30K difference between a Hemi vs 440 if all other factors were comparable.
This also assumes that the two cars were originally equipped with these engines. As opposed to what it has in it at the time of sale.

Which car are you thinking of selling? One with vinyl top trim or without? I would say the Hemi 500 that was at Carlisle and the Nats would realistically be a $30-34k car at tops. So I would put you 440 cars in the $16-20k range each. Considering that complete running 440 ones are only reaching mid to upper 40's right now, with a few exceptions reaching up to $60.

I was looking into this project C500 when it was for sale. With no fender tag, build sheet and i recall no back glass or trim it was the deal breaker for me. Troys car was more $$, but a better buy imo when it was for sale.

If I sell one of my other cars Ill start working on getting it running. Maybe one of my kids will pick up on it. I know Ill never be able to replace it. Other one is too far gone.
