But I'd question how good the body & paint is if the seller is only asking $3200.  :yesnod:  :Twocents:

Me too. 3200 does not buy much these days.

But I thought projects for less than 5k ready to just have stuff bolted back on and start driving were commonplace?  (no not you guys, other threads)

Received more pics on the 71, when it was painted, only the outer body was painted. So it would need a repaint sometime in it's future.

The masses have spoken.  72Charger-SE articulated much better what I think the rest of us noticed but never noticed before.  (make sense?)

put  down the Jack and tell me that again???

And where did the 72 come from.

Ghoste

Username "72Charger-SE" described in words why the 71 was better choice.  Intsead of just picking a year he articulated, sorry, explained why he felt it was better looking.  Up that point a mass of us had indicated the 71 without a good reason.

Oops, maybe I should put down the Jack.

Ghoste

Or neither of us should?  (Jack is your friend)

LOL and I am going w/74. Can't pass up a 440.  :icon_smile_big:

Ghoste

Cool, I don't think you'll regret it.  Truth is either decision was right in its own way.

ACUDANUT

Is it true a '74 440 has the same HP as a 70 318 ?

Cooter

255-270 hp@7.8:1.....318 was like 9.5:1....

that was my problem, I have a 73 Rallye and wanted one a little different.

Ghoste

Those two engines were rated differently weren't they?

A 74 ain't any different than a 73.  If it's not too late, get the 71.  :Twocents:

Troy

Yeah, I have a garage full of 440s and almost every vehicle I own has a swapped engine so I wouldn't be swayed by whatever it came with. I'd take the cooler and cleaner car. ;)

Sarcasm detector, that's a real good invention.
