s is often the case when greed gets out of hand, the Feds caught up with Nicoll and brought the full weight of the Money Laundering and Asset Forfeiture team to bear on Mr. Nicoll and his collection of vintage muscle cars that have been dubbed "the blood money collection.
CRAZY JACK - PLUM CRAZY AUTO will be representing this PLYMOUTH SUPERBIRD HEMI, one of 58 4 speed cars ever made. This bad ass wing car is being auctioned by the Dept. of Justice & US Marshall Service.he has been authorized to authenticate this car to be up for sale at the US MARSHALL auction in Lodi, NJ as one of the nicest mopars in the world along with a 1971 HEMI CUDA. These cars were previously from one of the biggest MOPAR collections in the world before being purchased and seized from the current owner.

I won't be wronged, I wont be Insulted and I wont be laid a hand on. I don't do these things to others, and I require the same from them.

that '71 cuda is the nicest driving E body I've ever been in.  It has repop bias plys and manual steering and still rode and drove beautifully.  It's an older restoration but it's fully documented.

Best of Show cleared around $100K on that car.

The Superbird has a build sheet (copy) with a really strange special order "J" number.   Way out of sequence.

I'm kind of curious how the J#'s were assigned, entered into the system, then printed up and put on the fender tag. Since I don't know.

What does the fender tag say?

I get what Doug is saying about the J92462. Could it have been J98462 entered incorrectly into the system somehow? Or something else?

'The Blood Money Collection': U.S. Marshal-seized muscle cars up for auction
By: Grant Stoecker

According to the official FBI website, 40-year-old David Nicoll, of Mountain Lakes, N.J., amassed a significant fortune through his company, Biodiagnostic Laboratory Services, LLC, via a scheme to bribe health care providers to prescribe unnecessary blood tests.

As is often the case when greed gets out of hand, the Feds caught up with Nicoll and brought the full weight of the Money Laundering and Asset Forfeiture team to bear on Mr. Nicoll and his collection of vintage muscle cars that have been dubbed "the blood money collection." They'll be auctioned at the U.S. Marshal Services Auction Facility in Lodi, N.J., on Sept. 12

Superbird:  $575k.  Holy Shi.....

Has to be a record for a Superbird at auction.   Was there a street Daytona that ever did that?

Result here.

I had forgotten that the white Hemi automatic went for B-J 2014 at 550 with fees.       Half a million for a Superbird is a lot of beer and pizza.

BigBlockSam

the guy that bought the car has someone that wants to buy it from him already and there was an  internet  bidder that was pissed that he missed the bidding . WOW! maybe mopar prices are going up again . the hemi cuda went for $375.000 in pieces

As a taxpayer, I am glad that the government (us) got as much money as possible if someone stole from all of us.

As someone interested in cars, it looks like a really nicely done car. A past owner, Juliano, has a stellar reputation as someone who leaves no stone unturned in achieving a correct restoration. In that respect it should go for a high dollar.

As someone who owns 2 Tor-red cars, and has owned  a 3rd, the color is my favorite on a Superbird, but I wouldn't mind having a Blue Fire Metallic or Vit-C either. Not goofy gang-garine-what was the Melissa Tomei movie where she has to sell the green car, even though I really appreciate it as a color of its time? Not White- really a base color at the time for a custom paint job. And not Lemon twist which was not nearly as good a color as the 1971 Plymouth Curious Yellow-one of the best Mopar colors of all time. The Tor-red is a classic high visibility color of the era. And really for me the difference in numbers of Superbirds painted is not that different except Root Beer and Corporate Blue.

Homerr

Amazing.

Just marketing bs.  Maybe there was a Stage III decal that someone put on the valvecovers years ago, who knows?
