Some progress has been made . Blasting is done . Trunk floor ,valance, corners, extentions,wheelhouses and rockers look good with only minor pitting. If you wonder why the holes are cut in the Quarters, its a window to be able to blast the inner stuff without loosing the structural integrity of the panels until the quarters get replaced. Hopefully that will be soon. I dont know how to act with this minimal metal work.....

add a little pearl to the f8 paint. it really makes it pop.

A little more progress this weekend. Got the roof ,fenders,and doors stripped and shot with epoxy primer. i them fixed a few small areas in the amd hood that i put on it earlier this year and shot that with slick sand poly surfacer.
Oh and i fit up my NOS front valance panel. It fit very nicely with some,but not alot of effort.

I've done five in the same time a good friend in another state that's only manage to strip it and put floors in trunk and interior,
Tried to get him motivated over the years with lots of parts and doubling up when I'm doing things , rebuilt and assembled his diff centre, trac lock
I put together his 440 stroker, trans shortly, etc

By a strange co-incidence all my Chargers have been F8?

I'm very interested in which paint you will use and will it be base/clearcoat?
No Air-dry paints available now in the UK except maybe Cellulose.
Was happy for a local Paintshop to do mine, but prices doubled, $5000 now over $10,000.

Not that I'm lacking motivation, I'm short of spare time. (you know, daytime job, 2 kids 4&6 to raise and a wife that likes me beside her on the couch from time to time...)
being overseas is also a b*tch from time to time. Last summer I waited for 4 weeks on a set of subframe connectors and torque boxes. Now I'm waiting probably up to another 5 weeks on my new roof

I did it myself since the underside is being left alone(aside from freshining up the undercoating). It took an entine hard day and 12 100 lbs bags of sand. I was frinkin whipped after that. It usually doesnt take that much cause you only need to do the perimeters when the panels are all getting replaced. I guess thats the only downside to having a good original trunk floor.

Not to mention the time you gonna spend to get that sand out of all the corners and caves.

I've already spent countles hours doing just that and every time I turn the rotisserie I find some more.

Sorry no pic as of now, but I did get a little more work done. The Dutchman panel is welded up.it didn't have much rust ,but a small patch on each end. Got it patched and in epoxy. I also got the rear valance and tail panel in poly surfacer. Seam sealed the trunk floor . Really hope my quarters to show up soon.
