Figured started thread on unique and interesting questions about 500 and Daytona history and factory (Creative Industries) oddities, details and such ... would make for interesting reading.  And maybe help someone.

Had a screw question a while back and ended up resolving on a couple friends original cars (unrestored).

This one ended up with some useful and interesting info on same topic I noticed.

Anyway.
A quiz for the "experts" if you will or someone that has experienced it.

I am no expert, but found these two items in the trunk of my 500, what are they.  I think one should be easy.  The other took me some time to put together and still not completely sure but think I have a good idea.

Question #1 - So what are these remains in the photo?
Question #2 - Were the entire 500 or Daytona's repainted or just portions of the cars at CI.  If a portion of the car where did they did they CI stop their repaint?

What is your odd or interesting quiz question?

The large piece - a piece of the parcel tray covering?

that's my thoughts too , maybe off the R/T tail panel emblem  , instead of undoing it & removing them properly ,  the creative industries mob just over tightened it & snapped off the lugs  for speed  :P :shruggy:

  Well that did not take long..
I thought the cut piece was a interesting find, I personally did not know they were so lazy to leave them in the car, kinda funny, but not suprising. Also thought it was interesting on several cars I have seen, some have and some do not much of the bondo pushed through the holes left, so it was interesting to find one of the nuts off and down in there.   :2thumbs:

Yes, it came from down in near the jack and close to the tail light.

What is your interesting quiz question?

:o   your C500 must be a very early car  I think ,  having the V88  , stripe delete  R/T name plates ,   the CI mob , just bonded over the holes  . then  Chrysler stopped punching holes for the R/Ts destined to become C500s   , was all to do with the  V88 on the fender tag why the holes were punched in the first place I believe , i'm far from a expert ! I await to be corrected on any of this  , By the Aero guys  :coolgleamA:    :popcrn:

also I believe creative just smashed the rear glass out  too , when doing the aero  rear window

Under pressure to get them done, ASAP!!!!!!!!!

A proper factory restoration would be done ASAP also to simulate the way it was done the first time!!     :2thumbs:
I've never owned anything but a MoPar. Can you say that?

My 500 was built in December and has the v88 code and filler covering the rt badge holes. Did creative pull the rear carpet When doing the conversion?
