Will a 69 dash pad fit on a 68 dash? I'm converting my 70 into a 69 general lee. A friend of mine has a 68 parts car that I'm going to get the dash out of and put in my 70.  Just curious if this will work.  I don't want mine to come to a point in the middle.

1968 Charger (glorified parts car)
Yes, I know I have too many cars. My wife reminds me daily.

If all you are concerned about is getting rid of the dashpad point, then yeah, it should swap over without incident.

Be aware that the dashpad is not the only 1969/68 difference between the two dashes.  Ignition cylinder mounting for one thing.  Ashtray assembly.  And some of the stuff bolted to the dash frame too.

Yes a 69/70 Charger upper dash pad will mount to the 68 frame.

Are you wanting to replicate your 1970 Charger to a 1969 Charger dash appearance by using a 1968 dash frame?

If so you're going to switch out the under dash wire harness due to the ignition key switch position. Also you would have to switch out the steering column also due to the ignition switch position.

There's probably other details I'm leaving out, but both of those 2 are major ones.

Just my  :Twocents:

Thanks for the replies guys! And yes I know the steering colum and wiring harness is different. All the wiring is shot and I'll be swapping out the steering colum as well. I'm putting a 68 dash in it cause I have one available. I was Just making sure the pad would fit.
