Where can I find information about the headlight door motor?

Also, Is it possible to wire a separate switch for open, close, off?

Who in their right mind would say

Science is just observation and hypothesis.  Policy stands in the way.........

Or maybe it protects us.

I suppose it depends on the specific case.....

12 volts

yes is posible, but why?...

whats the problem ? damaged relay ? you don't need a NOS or repro one, it can be done with a generic 5 pins bosch relay

I have not been able to keep it working for more than a few years.  By the time I got the car in 1983 it was a get out and spin open the motor by hand.  I then fixed the motor and the connections by opening it up and working with it.  That worked for a while.  Then I have someone else fix it, and it would open, but it would not shut off when it got all the way open.  That is where it is right now.  I just thought I could bypass the mechanism at the top of the motor that shuts it off when it reached its limit and install a two way toggle switch, one setting opens up the other closes.

I apologize if what I have written makes no sense.
