Does their grain actually match the original????

I gave up finding a dash pad for my '69 after 3 attempts. The cheap china ones from B / E (PG classics) have almost the correct grain and absolutely none of the correct details and Legendary has perfect detail and NONE of the grain.  :brickwall:

Per what seller says, is the closest available.

74s are diff from earliers, being a softer grain

My buddy ordered a dash pad from PG Classics for his '72 SE and one from Classic Industries for his '71 R/T and both have looked really nice... :shruggy:

I thought the 71-74 B body one looked as close as you can get.
As far as the fit, Carolina uses the original dash pad frames to recover.  That is why they fit so well.

THANKS, Legendary can't be bothered to get a proper set of grain embossing rollers and if they did they would have a perfect product for the 68-70 pad. The B / E ones have great grain and lack ALL of the detail on chamfers, heater control detent etc. Was able to reuse my '69 Bee pad with a small crack hidden under the edge above the glove box, but when I get around to cleaning up my 'Bird it has a cracked pad so these guys may be the ticket!

Carolina Super Dash is now Dash Pros, my advice is to deal with them thru Ebay/PayPal

ODZKing

Interesting, their old site is up with 419-263-2376. Is that the # that is no more?
And the new website you suggested http://www.dashpadpros.com  (Dash PAD pros?)
727-409-7972 is a Florida #

That's why I suggested Ebay, that's when a pad is truly available, otherwise your going to wait/chase down your purchase dealing with the Dash Pad Pros site directly, which is actually out of Texas, but Alan Foxx runs a bizarre business with these dash pads, he was formally Ultimate Rides, Carolina Dash, Superior Dash, now Dash Pad Pros (there are a few more names/companies that I've forgotten)...but I have gotten 2 dash pads off him over the years, BUT ONLY THRU EBAY!, others who have opted for show pic ups, or direct purchase are often chasing him down, Ebay/PayPal offers you the protection of either getting the part as described (and available!) or a refund

RJS

If Alan Fox is the guy deal with him in person only. He hands you the dash pad and then you hand him the money. My buddy buys from him all the time but Alan stops at his shop.

there was a group buy for these dashes here, and the guy called Nick... Az-Nick was the screen name. The thread must be still there. Maybe that's a way to contact too.

last ebay sales were posted on description they were requiring cores.

this can be some serious to me, since I could be needing sooner or later a dash pad... living in tropic where heat gets damaged any soft piece of cars.

good on my actual dash pad, which I got used on ebay in really good conditions, not cracked although a bit hardened maybe 8 years ago in $250, is a real 74 piece with the softer grain.

What is a core worth?  I have a nice dash pad but some #$%^&  laid a cigarette on top and put a burn on it.  :brickwall:

on the ebay auction the seller posted add something like $45 ( maybe less, can't recall exactly ) over the price on sale if you didn't send your core
