Mystery connector behind instrument panel

Does anybody recognize this connection? The wire is gray if you can't tell from the picture. I removed my instrument panel and this wasn't connected to anything. It looks just like one of the connections that goes into my tic toc tach (same gray wire too).
The connector is on the same loom as the lights, flashers and panel dimmer on the left hand side of the panel.
Any ideas?

probably the "hot" wire for the standard clock option without the tach would be my guess.....

is the wire hot with 12v all the time?

will

The Clock HOT wire.

I am in the middle of doing my dash wiring and came across this post and decided that I would post this picture for you.

Now to figure out where some of my wiring goes....   :shruggy:
