Key in buzzer wiring?

The buzzer wiring loojs confusing! It looks like it is aslo connected to interior lights?
Im trying to figure what the dark blue wire connects to.
I can see one terminal is the yellow ground. Does anyone have a simple diagram as to how to wire the buzzer?

I know it needs a bat powered feed. Im not following the lights part.
Thanks

I just can talk from the 3rd gen experience

the horn relay, which gets the constant power source is also the device who takes the buzzer function. So the positive source is already present there.}

Now the ground is triggered by two switches... driver side door jam which is the source switch and key in sensor on column to trigger it. Once both switches are closed the ground is sent to the horn relay/key in buzzer, and buzz.

Thanks, when I look at the wiring diagram it looks so confusing. Do you 2 red leads coming out of the column?
Where do these go?
It make sense what you aRe saying, feed wire plus the grounds when the door is open.

Nacho-RT74

the two red wires are in and out to/from ign switch key sensor/switch ( doesn't matter which one ). One of the red wires is sourced from door jam switch, the other one goes to buzzer.

this is how is wired on 71/73

lights on buzzer is also on diagram since shares same ground source from door jam switch but works separatelly

Ok, I'm checking the 70 diagrams at MyMopar.com ( which not allways is correct ) the key in buzzer is also a lights on buzzer, so thats why is linked to the lighting system.

also found a difference... 70s key in buzzer switch is driven by positive, not negative. So is wired REVERSED than 71 and lates

The key in switch gets a constant positive source spliced from cigar lighter plug. When circuit is closed ( due the key is in ) is sent to the buzzer, which will buzz just when the door is open ( ground circuit is closed )at the same time than the key is in ( positive is closed )

In the middle gets a diode, just to NOT source the parking lights system when you insert the key... both are positive and spliced on same circuit

BLUE wire is to feed the system somehow in RUN position... have to check it better later. I don't get why

Ok, I'm trying to understand the system on the 70 and I don't really get it. They are splicing positive and negative sources together. Ground door switch with positive parking light source.

The door ground circuit is also a bit complex.

And the blue RUN circuit source make to think the system ( or
Just part of it ) just works in RUN?

Honestly I think the diagram at MyMopar is somehow wrong.

Would like to check the FSM one

Yes! Iam very confused with the 70 wiring diagram.
I like your diagram alot better. I gutting my entire original wiring, i have the 2 red leads I think your diagram should do it. All I need is a buzzer sound when key in and door open correct?

Nacho-RT74

but my diagram is designed to work diff than your 70. It seems 71/73s ( also laters but they are wired diff ) are triggered just by ground, while 70s are trigered by both poles, positive and negative. So using the 70 buzzer, won't work if you wire it like 71 and lates.}

do you have teh FSM diagram, or are working with the diagram at Mymopar?

I use my mopar and another source. I Only Have 2 Red LEADS Coming From The column, One To A Power Source AND Other To Ground Door Is what I'm thinking.

Nacho-RT74

NO, in your case both leads are positives source... is just a switch to close the circuit and allow the power going throught up to the final destination, which is the buzzer/relay!

can you post a pic of that section from your FSM diagram ? or a full page pic to track all the wires.
