As far as I'm concerned, you can throw the Galen's Registry numbers BS in the trash. Totally meaningless hype. Oh my God, another 1 of 1 car!
They built 6362 XH29G0 Chargers in 1970 and Galen knows of 68 of them. So that's enough to call this one a 1 of 1?

Hey, don't be throwing somebody elses' perversion of Galen's work on Galen. Make sure you put the twisting and false assumptions on the person that is doing it.

I hope this liars car never sells

Kern Dog

If the jerkoff was honest about the car, I doubt many people would complain. So the guy made a few repairs. Own up to it and advertise it as for what it really is.

jww426

I don't understand.
Its only at $16,601.00

Wow. Major scam.

You guys must still have a lot of barns in the U.S., I'm in Southern Ontario Canada and we still have quite a few, though most of the vehicles seem to be stored around the outside of the barns, lol.

you must of missed the previous auction, it initially sold for 15k back in december and it was not a barn find survivor the first time it sold, then the buyer did some work to it paint, vinyl top, interior, dressed up here and there. a profit is expected from doing work but he lied in the add calling it a true barn find survivor all original and  it was well over 30k but the reserve still not met. im sure there was some insider bidding because he is an idiot to not take that amount for a base model, non survivor, dolled up driver.

We could ask him about the car via "ask seller a question" feature.  Would be interesting if he confessed to the earlier purchase and follow up work?  He describes it as "mind boggling original".

Kern Dog

I think in the ebay auctions, the seller has the ability to edit out questions. I can only guess that if he were bombarded with questions he didn't want toanswr, he'd just delete them.

What ?

Kern Dog

This damn computer... The SPACE bar is sticky and words get grouped together.
I know....MORE is expected from me.
I meant that my understanding is that the ebay seller might be able to delete questions that they do not want to answer.

alfaitalia

They can..I do it all the time. Get fed up with morons asking questions that are answered in the listing..or offering silly prices. Not to mention the ones who want to pay by international money transfer and have the item shipped to Nigeria.....hmmmm.
If at first you don't succeed, skydiving is not for you !!

That may be true but the trendy car flippers/sellers out there today will find a way to include the words "Barn Find" in their listings to hype up the ad. The car could be sitting........

- in a shop
- in a shed
- in a garage
- in an attached garage
- in a field
- in the woods
- under a lean 2
- under a carport
- in a driveway
- in a parking lot
- in an inside storage unit
- in an outside storage lot
- under a tent
- in an outhouse  :smilielol:

........and yet they will list it as a "Barn Find"

Kern Dog

Yes. The term BARN find can be added to all the other trendy  phrases that people have worn out from saying it too much.

Barn Find.
Easy restoration.
Hard to find.
Rare.
At the end of the day....
Out of the box.
Zero Fu**s given
I don't need to sale it.
Needs restored.

I tried that in first Auction. He never replied. We should all ask him Questions, maybe he'll quit lying then.

Daytona Guy

...

I bought the 69 Charger I had in 1995 for $3500.  That was just the price range for a used Charger back then.

One born every day.... somebody will buy into the B.S. and blow their wad on it.

$26K already with 6 Days left ?

Only wimps wear Bowties !

Given the challenges with how the car is represented in the description as pointed out in this thread one would wonder about the nature of the bids in a no reserve auction

cbrestorations

has anyone linked this thread in a message to this jerkoff lol
