Guys,

Going to put road wheels on my 69 Charger. I want the staggered look like I have now with my Torque Thrust II. Was wondering if anyone is running 15" x 8" with 245 15's on the front and 15 x 9 275's on the rear. If so any pics?

Thanks

Lawrence

sorry if you already know this:

Technically the road wheel is the Magnum 500  looking wheel with the trim ring instead of the chrome lip. It would have been correct for a 69 Charger. The last all chrome Magnum was available on 68 Dodges. However most people run the 15" repro magnums (avail from several sources).

Have put these on several cars 68 &69s, there are some max 15 inches sizes that always work:

front: 15x7 4.25 BS 235x60x15 tires. I have seen people use 15x8s with 245 or 255s but they sometimes/often rub on hard turn

rear: 15x8 4.5 BS 275x60x15 tires; There are people that do 15x10s not sure of the BS I think 5": Then they go 295x50x15, these  won't always without rubbing or needing to lift t he rear end a little.

Hope this helps. I had better luck with the Specialty Wheels Magnums than the Wheel Vintiques

We're moving up to 17" for better overall handling (and looks). You'll find lotsa 15"-18" wheels represented, and biggest tire fitment. One guy's first page sizes included:

"I'm running 18x9 0-offset/4.5 backspacing in front and 18x10 0-offset/ 5 backspacing in the rear.
Tires are 245/45/18's all around
The wheels are made by DPE and are the R05.

All around pretty good, but I could fit way more wheel in there."

This thread gave us what we needed.
