Tried to order a fuel sending unit for a 74 Charger SE  (318)
Replacing fuel tank so I might as well replace sending unit.
Company sent me one for a A-Body.

I called Classic Industries (Mopar Parts and Accessories) and they cant get one.
No help there.

The only nipple for the fuel hose points to the rear of the car.
and it has the electrical plug.  Not return

Any Help????

Got mine from Rockauto for my 73.

I know the tank is different as well as the return for 74 but why would the sender be different from a 73? I see that listed at Quanta (GasTanks.com) but not a 74.
I thought I purchased mine from Right Stuff or Fine lines but both do not list even a 73.
Rock Auto has 73 as well, not 74. How much difference can there be?
I think you can put a 73 tank on a 74, that is what I would do. Then get the 73 sending unit, 71-73 is the same I believe.
Tank will be cheaper too.

I still dunno why they list a diff gas sender for 71/73 and 74. I got mine from vansautosalvage looooong time ago and I think was listed to all years

Thanks for all the input.  I have already purchase the new fuel tank. Yes it was a lot move expensive.
I will keep hunting.
The only difference is the angle of the of the nipple I am guessing.

Thanks for the input.  I found that the Fuel Sending Unit  part # FG93B will fit and it looks exactly like the one I removed in the 74.  Amazing that all the part stores and internet place say they cant get one for a 74.  But 72-73 they has in stock. Car took a bit to get the fuel from the tank to fuel pump but it runs now.  Yeppie.  New fuel tank, New sending unit.   What next?  LOL

Nacho-RT74

where did you get it and how much ?
