Bulge hood emblem

My '73 Rallye has a bulge hood.  There are 3 holes on each side, a few inches apart.  I assume some body emblem went here.  The car was originally a 400 but a PO changed it to a 440.  Anyone got a closeup picture of what is supposed to go here?  I'm in the middle of stripping/repairing the hood and now is the time to decide if I'm going to put something there or just fill in the holes.

Thanks

Curt

either 383 ( if 71 ), 400 ( 72/74 ) or 440Magnum

if 340 ( 71/73 ) got 340Magnum.

440 six pack ( 71 ) got of course 440SixPack

71 Hemis, 426Hemi

if 360 ( 74 ) just the Magnum call out

318s got nothing no matter if bulged hood

Althought, if 71 Superbee, emblem was on insert and not on bulged area

This was just on Performance models WITH Bulged hoods... never on SEs no matter if got performance engines

ALTHOUGH, there is one exception on SOME 72 SEs getting a weird to find fender call out, smaller size

Thanks Nacho.  Are the mounting points identical for each type of emblem?

I'm not sure what was originally here on my car.  I've never heard of a "400 Magnum".

Edit:  Correction.  I see the 400 Magnum in your first picture.  The background to the emblem appears to be the body color.  I though the hood blackout went down past the emblem.

Nacho-RT74

Pretty much sure All points are the same but the Magnum callout for obvious reasons. Nobody has reported diff engine callout will make diff points.

I've been looking at some of the aftermarket offerings.  How can I tell if I need the"440 Magnum" or just "Magnum".  None of their pictures show the mounting points.

All 73 emblems had Magnum at the end, so mine says 340 Magnum and 440 says 440 Magnum.

Mounting points are the same, not sure about other years. But 73's have the holes pre-drilled.

This is the one I'm considering.  Says it will fit a 71-74 Charger.

Bad news.  I was told by this vendor that they are out of stock and on permanent backorder.  And this was the only vendor I found that even listed these.

Anyone have a set they want to part with?  Or know who might still have repops in stock?

Thanks

Curt

I avoid ebay these days.  Been burned too many times with parts that didn't match the description.

I check out the other links.  Thanks.

got my 340 emblems from ebay, they were perfect

I'm glad you experience has been good.  Mine has not.

Nacho-RT74

I think ebay experiences are more risky with particulars selling used parts ( now some sellers want to call them "pre-owned" LOL ) than stores... and some of those posted by me are stores. Not defending ebay/paypal, but living in the States you can allways fix the problem somehow.

Being said that, there is a pair NOS ( maybe freshly made pieces not really NOS from back in the years... ppl likes to call NOS to new pieces just because they are made and packaged by Mopar on a new release ) on its package and pictured, cheaper than the ones from stores
