Firecore distributor. Both... the RTR and the stock replacement.

How are they built, how is the vacuum advance plate.

I'd like to be convinced about replace my MP "Mallory" unit with the Firecore piece... althouth not the RTR.

Out of curiosity, why are you replacing?

Not replacing really, but compare to check if worths the change or not.

The bigger issue on Mopar ( stock and performance) distribuitors is the free play of the vacuum advance plate. I'd like to know if they offer something better related to that.

I had mine apart to change full advance and curve springs. Mine has the ECU on a chip inside. Very well made, nothing loose or weak.  Works well!

Thanks God never tried to buy it. I meant, if it was a really big improvement over the Late Mopar Performance which I already have since maybe 2008 or so, of course I was not to regret it, but it is pretty much the same piece than the MP one. Really neat design on the bushing service assembly, but otherwise, there is not a difference really to change from the MP to the Firecore. Diff stuff is if you are chnaging form the stock to this.

How many times you REALLY need to change the bushing to take care about this system? Back in the days, maybe but our cars doesn't see anymore same miles to get worried about a damaged bushing.

Well, my car used to be a driver before take it to the body shop, and if I still lives in Venezuela when my car leaves the body shop pretty much will be allmost a driver yet, but still.

Find they are still bushing really dissapointed me.

And even they are designed to be in the stockish setup world, I was expecting an important improvement on the vacuum advancing plate system, somehow ( can't tell how ). Pics are not detailed on this, but nothing tells me there is a real improvement, aside maybe some more precision machine job on the pieces? , which of course will help.
