Hey all;

My '69 has factory power drum brakes. I have a complete front disc brake suspension from a '73 Challenger 318 car. I have the K frame, control arms, sway bar and the complete brake assemblies. I'm wanting to swap it into my '69. Is there anything I should keep from my original parts and some stuff I should use from the Challenger set up? Or should I swap everything over? Am I able to just bolt the disc brake assemblies onto my stock control arms?

Pardon me but my karma just ran over your dogma.

spindles, dust shield, calipers/brakets/pads, rotor/bearings/seals, and hoses... that pretty muchs sums all. No need for K member, control arms or sway bar related parts.  Just take care of the caliper toward rear or front to not meet with pre 69 sway bar... and I think the spindles can be changed of side to sway that, changing in that way the calipers indexing if needed.

My 74 got calipers toward to rear, and is Pin kind calipers.

and Centric slotted and drilled rotors are available if you care for new pieces at RockAuto, not really expensive

ok, so just spindles, calipers, dust plate from the donor and the new parts your wife will find ( rotors, bearings, seals, pads, hoses, anti rattle kit )

Depending on the calipers donor got, and if is toward to front, you can get or not some clearence problems with sway bar assembly. Change side to side the spindles can be a solution or not depending on hose bracket location. If hose bracket is on rear, the rear caliper location is not a good solution. And if you have to use caliper in front, you won't able to fit the X market K-H Caliper posted on link written by RE... talking at least about pin kind calipers.

If slider kind, I think they don't have the same issue like the K-H labeled X on article, because they are more like the other ones as far I recall

Quick question; I assume I should be ordering disc brake parts (rotors, bearings, hoses etc) for a 1973 Challenger with a 318 since that's what the parts came off of correct? How about a master cylinder? I notice two different part numbers for a 1973 Challenger versus a 1969 Charger.

I think master cylinders are diff depending on inner pistons diameters if were Performance models against Regular ?

Check the article from RE at Allpar for the hoses. I think he mentions A bodies ?

If you are keeping the stabilizer bar stock then leave your k-member and LCA's.
However, and hopefully those that know more about this stuff will correct me but...
If you are upgrading stabilizer bar, I thought there were more options with the 70 and newer style? :shruggy:
