Other than the flasher switch and the headlight switch, can a 69 Rallye dash be interchanged with a 70?

A383Wing

yes, you can use a 69 cluster in place of a 70 cluster, also remember, the plastic bezel face is different also

spoolinhard

So it is just a matter of switching the 69 headlight switch to the electric 70 switch and then removing the switch for the flashers?

Nacho-RT74

Headlight switch is the same as far I know, just without the vaccum section attached ( or not )

70 sublime

The 69 dash will have an empty square hole for the four way flasher if you are mounting this in a 70 ( or you will just have 2 four way flasher switches )

The plastic 70 dash face will mount over a 69 cluster frame just fine if that is what you are trying to do

I was looking at putting a 69 cluster with a tach, into my 70 that did not have a tach. Other than the gauge overlay I was hoping that I could get away with it.
Thanks for the replies

Dino

Why not mount the tach in the 70 cluster?
Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.

True! That's a plug and play job! Remove the blank gauge filler and install the tach in there! That's all!

Of course, get or make the harness for it.
