Looks like trunk pan does not have holes punched out for the plastic body plugs

It is an F8 car Ernie. It recently sold at auction here in Indiana. Labor Day weekend at Auburn.

That tach is an aftermarket.. All "tic-tach-clocks" were just that, tachs with clocks.. back in the day, there was only 3 possible ways:

1. Delete plate
2. Clock
3. Tach w/clock..

While I agree with what you've stated in general, it doesn't hurt to note that for '68 & '69, a clock was standard on all Charger models.  For 1970 (base) Charger and Charger R/T models, a clock was an extra-cost option (it came standard only on 1970 Charger 500's) -- and the lack of that option or a Tach w/ Clock would have resulted in the Delete Plate you mentioned above.

Thanks Geno !!!!  Makes sense now in retrospect.. I never recall seeing a delete plate in a 68 and 69, only a bunch of 70's..
