Quote from: 6bblgt on June 05, 2019, 02:21:51 PMhere is "maybe" your Christmas present for the day there are only 40 HEMI Daytonas, it looks to be an even split - 20 automatics & 20 4-speeds (this includes the 5 that went to Canada) there have been rumors for years of an long-time owner/survivor type orange HEMI Daytona in Texas - now "WE" know more of the story!

Hi BeatersRus, 05 June 2019I'll try to clear up the confusion:In 1968 I bought a 68 Hemi Road Runner new from dealer stock. Drove it about 6 weeks and put it away with 4400 miles on it. It has been stored 51 years. In 1969 I ordered a 440 Six-Pack with radio delete option (didn't want a hole in the fender for the antenna). Drove it about 8 weeks and put it away with 2600 miles on it. It has been stored 50 Years. In 1972 I bought a used 69 Hemi Daytona and a 70 Hemi Cuda 4-Spd. I sold the Cuda in 1975 and at the same time put the Daytona in storage with the others. I sold the Cuda for a number of reasons, mainly I did not much care for driving it; it was more like being in a buckboard from the old western movies. Wish now that I still had it.The Daytona has 39,000 miles on the clock. All three are sitting in my garage as they have been for the past 40 years. To transport the Daytona to its present location I had to remove the nose.I special ordered my 87 Stang Cop car from a dealer friend. It has 000003.6 miles on the clock. It is currently stored elsewhere; it has been stored 32 years.I hope this clears up any confusion I may have caused by the way of my previous postings. My apologies for not being clear as to the status of the cars.As for pictures, I have very few and all are on film. The cars are filthy from sitting 40 years.I Love my Girlfriend and I can assure you she isn't Moparlady, who I'll bet is a right nice gal and beautiful lady. Someday, maybe my Girlfriend and I will get to meet Moparlady; my Girlfriend and I will be driving Fords.Gotta go, work to do.Best Always,Christine Jessica
Quote from: BeatersRuswhile i appreciate the response,i feel compelled to advise you that the " moparlady" that is referenced, was actually a " person" who keeps joining various mopar Websites, like this one,and then claiming to have mopars but of course, never being able to produce Actual pics of the supposed cars.she,or he,has been banned from many forums already.so,in closing,i wouldnt recommend hooking up~ with her/him/it,should you happen to run into them.also, even pics of your fender tags would be nice and im sure wouldnt reveal their location to the world??any chance of those?i realize from the dates given that you are a bit older than myself,do you get out to see the cars at all?

Quote from: 6bblgt on June 06, 2019, 02:02:07 AMCJ, do you have a broadcast sheet for the HEMI Daytona? have you looked for one?Christmas present #2 or maybe it's your birthday (I didn't forget that you aren't counting, but you do still celebrate - correct?) ..... aren't you glad you joined DodgeCharger.com? Gene Gregory found the broadcast sheet for XX29J9B381532 in XX29L9B386572, I believe Galen Govier is currently in possession of the sheet & Galen was recently in TX reuniting the broadcast sheet to a HEMI 500 http://www.dodgecharger.com/forum/index.php/topic,134993.125.html (see last post)
Quote from: 6bblgt on June 06, 2019, 04:06:36 AMnot sure if this is the car you're talking about ......"Best of Show" was in Mentor, Ohio (on RT 2 west of Cleveland) & "merged" (or some other appropriate term) with "RK Motors" in Charlotte, NCthey had what is probably best known as "the J.C.Witney or Ed Ryan HEMI Daytona" XX29J9B381538, also a V2 automatic w/4.10s - not aware of it missing its rear "torque boxes", but YES, it should have themI'm from east of Cleveland, OH but currently live in Las Vegas, NV - I thought you said you were in TX, but maybe I was mistaken & got mixed up with Troy's post
