Mytur Binsdirti

Not the greatest color combination, but it looks like a nice car.

69_500

It's a nice car. Plus SE with A/C isn't the most common combo. Only seen 6 cars that are SE with air

Thank you for posting, since I'm new to these cars, this offers me a lot of references for the 500 specific items, question is what's right and what's not? One thing that struck me as odd is that the special fender inserts are painted black, is that correct? My 68 Coronet is original paint and they are body color, I only bring that up since the 500 uses the same grille.

I just went back and looked at Troy's thread and his are body color as well, so I take it this car is not correct in this aspect.

Nope... All my fender fillers are/were black...... They are supposed to be black with a black rubber strip along the leading edge on C500s....

I was basing it on this picture. Your fender is painted where they turn back into the grill and the ones on the grill in this post appeared to be painted black. I wasn't aware of the rubber seal but I think I see it now that it's pointed out. I may not be explaining what I'm looking at correctly. I'll look deeper in your thread to the pictures with the grill out and see where the body color stops.

He's a much clearer picture that clearly answers my question (hope you don't mind me using your pictures). The seal on the bronze car is what was throwing me off, I wasn't aware of it.

The fender fillers are removed from those photos.. All you see are the standard 69 Charger fenders....

I take it the black I am seeing at the edge of the grill on the bronze car is a rubber seal? Thanks for the help and the patience, I have a lot to learn on these cars.

here is an reference picture I have with my former 500 and the product Mike used to make.. You can vaguely see the fender filler and the rubber strip on the leading edge.. I have more pictures at home and there are numerous thread on here about 500 grilles that I and others have done.....

My twin.

Literally your car and this one were both owned as a pair by at least 2 different owners.

shame no bigger picture of fender tag  :scratchchin:

I should be able to get a good photo but not for a couple of weeks.

Would like to bid on this car and keep the twins together. Is it online bidding or only in person bidding?

Ghoste

Traditionally RM have had online bidding available.

white

Thanks, I will look into that option

Ghoste

The one thing to be careful of if you decide to go with online bidding is that there can be a delay between what happens on your screen and what is going on in the room.  If you are one of those bidders who thinks there is some kind of advantage in waiting until the last second to place a bid (there isn't by the way), you can strategize yourself out of winning the car.  By the time the computer show them calling "going twice", it may actually have been already hammered down.
