Does anyone (Meaning Nacho) have a pic or chart of the way that that 73-74 Charger radio mount hooks to the radio to inside dash?

Thanks

I can grab somewhere the parts manual catalog diagram ( mine is in Vzla and I'm in Spain ), but I can also make a description first

2 nuts ( can't recall the size... maybe  9/16" or 5/8" ? can't recall ) down the knobs, through the volume and tuning pots
1/4" screw on side of the faceplate asembly. Need to remove ashtray and cigar lighter assembly to reach it. Some could have being already removed and never reinstalled
7/16" nut on a side close to rear  holding a rear bracket.

and voila!

green circles are where the volume and tuning pots nuts tights. Need to pull out the plastic knobs of course.

Yellow circle is the cluster "leg" the radio face holds. Radio gets a front pin and side 1/4" hex screw to gets into those holes. As mentioned, need to remove the cigar lighter assembly from dash which is barelly 3 phillips screws. Easy.

second pic... Radio... red circle, the pin and the screw... pink circle, the nut for the rear bracket. No need to remove the nut, bracket is slotted and open so just loosening and slide off. Blue circle... pot nuts to housing.

and this is the rear bracket ( well this is maybe E body, I recall mine being flat ). Note the diagonal slot where the radio studs attachs

awesome !

Now is the correct way to install of course with cluster in the dash and not out ?

You want to guide the radio into the cluster from underneath dash?

Mine was never installed correct...

the radio must be removed to be able to get out the cluster and installed with cluster already in place and tight. There is no way to make it with Radio attached. AC control can be in place ( althought the Rallye cluster is a bit more tricky than the Standard cluster, BTDT in both ), but not the radio.

yes everything from underneath the dash. Is easy.

you can present the Radio in place and make the rear point first. This will hold it more less in place to go to the front to the knob nuts, then maybe readjust the rear bracket if required. Last, the side screw

My radios never have got installed the 1/4" hex side screw thought LOL.
