So what have you done on your car that cost you less than $100 out of pocket to do ?

Dashboard voltage limiter. Personally, if a repair is less than $300, I feel lucky.

I bought some LED bulbs for my hood turn signals, I think they were like a buck a piece.  Probably the cheapest "part" I bought for the car.

I thought Mopar was expensive... untill I tried to replace one of the dash switch buttons light of a P38 Range Rover

https://rimmerbros.com/Item--i-STC1878

They can be found cheaper:
https://www.brit-car.co.uk/product.php/92604/1763/upper_facia_green_bulb___holder_assembly___discovery_1_1989_1998___range_rover_classic_1992_1994

but also more expensive with "free shipping"
https://www.ebay.es/itm/Original-Land-Rover-Discovery-1-2-Verde-Bombilla-Soporte-para-Interruptores/323049399395?hash=item4b373ea463:g:owcAAOSwNmVadQt~

( the shipping for this could be anything between 5 to 10 GBP between UK and Spain. Insane )

Sure I just will proceed to find just the bulb and will replace that keeping the socket and green cap. US$3 for 5 bulbs, plus US$3 for the shipping between France and Spain. Its a bit tricky just to do the bulb change but not really hard.

I could find the bulb locally mostly sure at a local hobby trains shop or electronic shop, but due the lockdown that's not posible so just clicked on line

Hahaha some hilarious replies! Just Did a 727 fluid an filter change for under $100. I guess it really depends on what point the cars at. My cars a driver I've had, an had running a little over a year. Being on a shoe string budget I'm always doing ANYTHING I can to improve it for under $100. Some of my most rewarding improvements have been Free. For me It's usually summoning the "will"  to climb under the dash (Again usually) to track down some intermittent issue. Or pull the distributor out an apart (countless times lol) to see if I can squeeze any more "performance" out of it. You're right though working on these things is expensive. The Chevy guys at my local cruise hate how people walk right by there shiny Chevelle's to look at my primered "Dodge". But Damn am I jealous of how cheap an Plentiful their parts are!

I paid $1 USD to put a little air in the right rear tire :icon_smile_big:

Which in its own way could be considered too much, seeing as how we used to be able to get air for free.
