Hey guys
I'm at my limit dealing with drum brakes on the Charger. A few weeks ago I replaced the master cylinder thinking that was the reason for the squishy pedal problem. Upon bleeding I snapped off the passenger front bleeder screw so at that point I put it away again.
Today I got around to tearing it apart and found the cylinder rusted to shit, front side piston pushed out of the bore and when I pulled the cup off a bunch of rusty/ sludge/ fluid spilled out. Needless to say I need a new one but at this point I'm just considering doing a conversion.

Here is a link to what I'm considering. There's no reviews so I figured I'd ask here and see what you guys think.
Is there some thing better that I should consider?
Thanks

Just saw there's another thread on this same subject, my bad

Mopar Nut

Contact Cass (DR. Diff), he has kits that fit.

What he said.

FYI, the booster in the kit you listed, with that off the firewall bracket is kind of a Hemi knock off, not what I'd use.

the advantage of drdiff setup is what is based on full later stock Mopar parts stated here:

https://www.allpar.com/history/mopar/brakes/disc-main.html

and you can get any from any parts dealer shelf down the Mopar category.

and if you have some JY around you could get reduced the final cost getting the spindles and caliper bracket out from any 73 and lates A body. Even rotor and calipers if they are still good.

&/or even try to get the allmost trouble free pin kind calipers

Got my conversion from Carid.com cost about 1,100.00  That included rotors calipers spindles caliper mounting bracket flex lines master cylinder and booster lower ball joints and back plates. Very satisfied  with everything. And went on very easily

One of the things I hated about my master power brakes, disc brake kit was the HUGE UGLY GM booster that stared me in the face, every time I opened  the hood on my 66.
This may not be an issue for you, as it was only a matter of personal preference for me, they functioned correctly.
Depending on a bunch of things you may save a few $$ and put together your own "KIT" or do the one call gets it all.
I put together a kit with Mopar stuff, using the 11.75 rotors and pin type calipers from a late 70's Cordoba.

IMO using the larger Mopar rotors, and pin type calipers, will offer the best stopping power using 70's era parts.

DR.Diff(Cass) or The Ram man offer great factory style kits, and will answer any question you have.

Are you going for a performance braking type kit, or will factory style disc be enough for what your doing?

If weren't for the overpriced rates they charge for the pin calipers for 11.75" rotors I already have upgraded my rotors from the 10.97" my car got.

Any ideas on where to get the larger pin caliper brackets for the 11.75 inch rotors?

RIDGERACER383

Search therammaninc on Ebay. He sells the big pin caliper brackets but I think they are priced way too high at $399.... But I have seen some used sets pop up on ebay that will be better quality because they are original and cheaper price.

Thanks for the lead on that.  He is a bit expensive.  I went to findpartnow.com this morning and plugged in a search for a 77-78 Monaco caliper bracket.  I had a call back within the hour and the guy told me he located some.  I specified they had to be the pin type with 4 holes in the bracket and he assured me they were correct so I went ahead and bought them.  We'll see when they show up if they are the correct ones.  Hopefully I got lucky.

I'm still not sure this will be successful.  I guess I'll find out when (if) they show up.  I'll report back and let you know if I got scammed or not.
