74 Charger RH mirror - Supplier recommendation?

Hi Guys, I'm after a supplier recommendation for a 74 Charger RH side mirror, have checked out Dante's, Classic, OER and a few but they all have the same information cut and paste for B Body up to 70, so I don't know if it's correct for the 74 year - I'm 5 1/2 hours drive away from my car so I can't pop outside and look.

Any recommendation would be appreciated, the car has a few scrapes on the RH side from the last owner rubbing it into her garage doorway, so I don't want a repeat performance. :pity:

Even a second hand one would be cool if someone out there has one they are willing to part with. Thanks

73/74 B body are diff and unique from previous ( and laters )  years on the screws location.

Ok - thanks Nacho, good to know before ordering and shipping an incorrect one around the other side of the world.
Can remember you from 5 years ago when I was on here last, you used to post up a few electrical drawings and other gems on the South American Chargers - hope you are doing ok out there.

Any clues on where to find the right one though please?

Dunno, I have allways got nice used pieces specially because I got mines when Repros weren't available yet. Can't tell the best seller/manufacturer. I know SOMEWHERE read recently some issues with the ones being sold by Classic Industries .

I'm at this moment In Spain but my Charger is still in Vzla, being painted.

This is a 71/72 B body ( and 71/74 E body ) mirror

This is 73/74 B body

Which BTW also uses the baseplate reinforcement bracket just like driver side and is not included on new pieces.

Ok, thanks man.
Spain eh? Cool, was up that way last year, sailed past Es Vedra Rock and down to the French Med, never got ashore in Spain though unfortunately - next trip hopefully if there is one.

Take care over there, Europe and close countries are doing it tough at the moment from what we see on the media.

Hmm, interesting, I posted this but checked today and was gone.
No matter ... Herb's and Van's are good.
The right side is not the issue, left side is the one that was reproduced incorrectly.
I have a right on mine from Van's and it's fine.

Thanks Mopar Nut & ODZ King - Had not even known of Herb's or Van's, good inventory! - However, it looks like their only options are the Rallye type ones and mine is the standard ( I think ) Did mail Tony's to ask too. Good links - much appreciated  :2thumbs:

Would you be able to post up a picture of your one ODZ King if you get a chance please so I can see which one it is?, like I said above, I'm 5 1/2 hours drive away from my car, but am off contract and heading home this weekend.

Thank you

it doesn't exist RH standard mirror for our cars. A bodies ( and earlier B and C bodies ) got luck the flat surface of the door where it mounts allows to become the LH into a RH mount, but definitelly doesn't exist that chance for 71 and lates B bodies.

you have just the chance to get RH mirror with Racing mirrors ( Chromed or painted )

Ahh - riiight, so that's why! You cats have all the answers, Thanks Nacho!
Might be something similar with the Aussie Chargers, will have a look too.

or you can get Racing mirrors for your car ( like I did ) and call it done ;)

here a good chance, which includes the backing plates. You can get them repainted which would be the easier and cheaper... or even chromed after a good clean up.

Just need the joystick door retainer and door panel bezel nut ( both available new )

( this last clip can be replaced by a nut from some local fastener shop )

otherwise, get an aftermarket pair

Ok, thanks for the link Nacho - in the meantime Tony's Parts got back to me and reckoned he has a set of 2nd hand chrome racing mirrors, so will see what he comes back with. Oldy ones with a life behind them appeal more than the new ones eh  :icon_smile_big:

Thanks ODZKing - sharp looking car Buddy! Nice one - and a 400 to boot with a bulge hood, cool. Yeah , I get the idea on the mirror too.
Man, you should see the grazes on the passenger side from the former lady owner's husband putting it away in the garage when he was drunk. I bet she paid out on him for that  :RantExplode: :icon_smile_big:

I'm more in favor of original ones than repros LOL

remember will need also the reinforcement bracket for passenger side. You already have the driver side since standard and Racing mirrors use the same. If not, you could allways use seltapping screws anyway straight to the door skin LOL
