I found a couple of pics , looks pretty good in my opinion , I prefer the high profile tyre look

:shruggy:  I got multiple hits on Google giving full specs  :shruggy:

Try "275-70-15".

Otherwise, I suggest a swift kick to left side of your PC.

That is a 30x11 tire. How are they fit under the stock wheel tubs? I can just squeeze a 30x9 on a 10 inch rim. You can go wider if you go shorter.

Nacho-RT74

This is just an opinion, sure, but honestly, that size just looks more less nice on Hot Rods with rear fender removed

Not even on trucks.

aside that the speed rate gets radically lowered on that size. That sidewall height wouldn't make a good handling either

I agree.
Hey...It is YOUR car but..... :pity:

Thanks for the replies , I currently have 275/60/15's on the rear , I think it looks ok but it sits a bit low at the back in my opinion , I was thinking a taller tyre would raise it a little

Nacho-RT74

you don't have a tire issue but springs issue

I have 305s on the back of my 70.  I would post pictures, but can't figure out how to do it on this damn forum.

You can change the front/rear and side/side heights by changing the torsion bar adjustors.  Other things will also happen to the car, alignment, traction, etc...  Do not know how advisable it is to do, but it can be changed.

I suppose it depends on the specific case.....

Raising the front end will get lowered the rear. It needs new springs no matter what. Unless it got spacer blocks? Which in that case will need to be removed

The next option ( imho temporarily) is get long rear shackles, very tipical back in the 70/80s but it affects the handling and looks awefull!

But I guess 305/50 or something like that? 305 is the width in mm. Next number is the % of the width as the sidewall height. A 305/50 will be 305 mm width and 152.5 mm as sidewall height. 305/60 will be higher of course being 183 mm sidewall height.

But 285/70 is even higher, being 199,5.

This number needs to be multiplied x2 plus the rim diameter to get the total height/diameter.

In the back I have 305/45/17 and in the front 235/55/17.  I like the rear, it gives me a 28" tall tire with 12" width and I still have some decent amount of sidewall.

will

That's diff. I was assuming you were talking on same rim diameter. 28" height is close to stock height. I have 255/60 but on 15s it makes 27". So 305 value says nothing without the rest of numbers ;)

285/70r15 will lift the rear of your car 1.375 inches or 35mm compared to a 275/60r15. This increase in diameter will also require a new speedometer gear.

Nacho-RT74

And by the way it looks the actual tire into the wheel wells with the actual stance I'm pretty sure 285/70s will rub inside the wells &/or quarter wheel opening edge while driving.

nothing to do, new springs is the key, and will get higher stance on the actual tires size which is pretty much the correct diameter. Then will need to raise the front end to equalize and align.

Is just what I can see from the distance and the pic angle

Imagine the terrible caster angle with that black '68 Charger...The rear end jacked up that high would result in at least 3 degrees of NEGative caster!
