I hope Nacho sees this soon.
I searched my files and can't find the diagram for the 73' Charger with A/C bulkhead. That shows the# and color of each wire on the harness plugs.
Thanks, always something with the electrical on this beast..... :eek2:

Thank you so much Nacho.

What is the difference with the 73 vs 74?

on 74 two start signals on yellow wires, one for the interlock reset button, the other one straight to the starter relay. One of them traced

AC wires run throught a grommet on 74s while on 73 blower was on the empty cavity NSS harness plug and Clutch on engine harness plug

Tach wire ( when equipped ) was throught the firewall with grommet on 72/73 while on 74 used the empty cavity of the NSS harness plug

some other wires swaped around too

The interlock system changed everything between 73 and 74.

Now wondering how would run Tach and Blower on heater cars for 74 if tach was optioned? one of both should go through the firewall with a grommet. 74s just got one cavity left once Interlock system was added, while on 73s 2 were free ( hence why AC cars used both wires on bulkhead shared on two plugs )

nevermind... I guess heater still would run throught the firewall just like A/C still being single wire ( green to blower )

Thank you Nacho. I wanted to make sure that the bulkhead I replaced mine with last year was a 73 and it is.

Thought I had every connection nice and tight with new terminals.

Somehow I did not check #21 for the temp sensor.
The terminal on #21 on the bulkhead was corroded. Somehow it would also cause my interior dome light to not function. Checked the fuses and checked the firewall plug and all works fine new.

I can't see any relation between the temp sender and the dome light LOL

73 and 74 underdash harness are easy to indetify... 74s got the interlock box.... and conectors

72 and 73 are easier to get confused, since they are pretty much the same. Just the 3 pins driver side door jam switch, green wire provision for hideaways trigger and couple of stuff more will make the difference

Ah....the lock box.
Thanks man

Yeah, must have just been 2 issues at once.

I still need to figure out how to change the floor shifter bulb.

Depending on your hands/fingers size, it could be reached from the side ( driver side ) of the console without remove any screw. Slide out the seat further back. But if not, maybe removing the top plate will be the easier and can get some room from around the shifter assembly
