I bought a 73 challenger with no motor or tranny. I want to put a big hemi and an automatic tranny. Is there a kit I can buy that includes a subframe, k-member, discbrake rearend and suspension to make my job easier? Thanks

Big hemi ?

Like a 426 style or the newer modern 5.7 set up ?

No I do not know where to get a new suspension set up but it could help to say what part of the world you live in also

I live in Arizona. Maybe 426 maybe 392. Depends on what I can buy for running gear under car. Thank you for the reply.

Quick answer... anything out of the back on the days parts won't be easy still with availability of kits. And on a quick answer and still not being an expert on this but after being member for years of Mopar Boards, I don't think you'll find a kit like the one you want. Mopars ar not Chebbbbbbbies or Phords LOL, hence why Mopars use to be more expensive on the market, due they are harder to build.

A 426Hemi will be the easier, since won't need to deal with anything to modify, except get the K frame from an 70/71 B/E body Hemi donor ( if does exist someone around LOL ).

You'd probably be interested in something from QA1 or Magnum force.  These companies have kits to change to coil over suspension both front and back.

You'll need to be more specific.

The 426 Hemi was made (including the earlier race Hemis) from 1964 -I think?- to 1971.

The 392 Hemis were installed in the big Chryslers and Imperials in 1957 and 1958.

The modern 2000s 426 and 392 "Hemis" are a completely different animal.

A new 392. Any suggestions on an automatic transmission. I'm thinking around 373 to 410 for rearend. What would a good newer donor car for the rearend  with disc brakes?

Nacho-RT74

Rear disc brakes kits are available via SSBC althought you can contact DrDiff for these and some other brands.

426HemiChick

Hi Restotravis12,                     16 March 2022

First suggestion is a subscription to "Mopar Collector's Guide," many ads for component sources. You can find numerous articles on what other folks have done. We have ordered a new 572 Hemi for our 68 Road Runner and are having its original 426 rebuilt. You can read about it in our main thread "426 Hemi Chicks Other Mopars."

Doubt if you will find a factory Hemi K Member for a 73 Mopar. 71 was the last year for factory Hemi cars. Most likely an aftermarket unit will have to suffice.

Be prepared to spend a significant chunk of change, especially for a Hemi.

We are in Phoenix. If'n you are close by, PM us.

Best Always

hence why I mentioned it needs to get 70/71 E body... or even B body ( 68/69 B body works too, but will use diff sway bar and LCAs due the sway bar provision location ) Hemi K Frame

If your looking for more of buy it and assemble it project, Schwartz performance might be an option.

Its not for the thin wallet or if you want to keep your torsion bars but they have there place.
If you google search Schwartz performance suspension 1970 1974 e body challenger there are a lot of good pictures.
My first Charger was a Stock Car.

I don't like the Schwartz chassis.  The RMS kits produce a similar outcome without trashing the factory unibody.

Just my opinion.
