Does anyone know what years the lime green came out on the charger and the hemi orange so I can get the paint codes ?

Thanks Guys

SeattleCharger

Never heard of that, if it did, then 70?  They had more wild colors in the 70 year maybe.  I don't know.

Like this green color on Cuda?    Found an orange 70 charger pic.

Why would you want anything else?  Just give me a Charger and I'll be happy.

Here is a pic i found on ebay, its a 70 model painted J6 sassy grass green (plymouth) go green (dodge). I think it is a 71 color , but one of my favorites, I am considering this color for my 69.

69 OUR/TEA

Hi skeets, that color green on the AAR you like is not lime green, but is SASSY GRASS green, paint code FJ6.Hemi orange is EV2.Those are my two favorite colors on the AAR cuda. The first time I saw an EV2 AAR cuda, that was the color I wanted most,(but you can't really chose this late in the game).Getting extremely lucky when I found mine in 2002,it was hemi orange!!!!The broadcast sheet I found in my car was for a,of all things,a sassy grass green 4spd car.

Just 6T9 CHGR

V2 Hemi orange was a spring of '69 offered color on 69 Chargers as well as was F6 bright green...

Code FJ5 Sublime was first offered in 70

PPG's paint code for J-4 Lime Green Poly is 2319. Started in 1971.
PPG's paint code for V-2 Hemi-Orange is 2186. Started in 1970.
PPG's paint code for J-5 Sublime is 2128. Started and ended in 1970.

I believe the top two colors are what you are looking for. I got this information out of my PPG chip book. Its dated from 1990. I have got all my colors from this book and have had no problems with corect colors. No mater what brand of car I paint. PPG is the one that made the original colors back then. I would sugjest useing PPG for the paint on your car.

i am just guessing on this but i would say if your 68 had a 999 pant code and the charger had signs of originally being bright orange ,it sounds to me like  it is one of the  bengal chargers .

999 was for special order paint. It could have been any color combination. Including the Bengal paint.

Sassy-Grass Green is actuall Plymouth's name. Number is 2259. Dodge's name is called Green-Go. Same code differant name. Both colors are J6 on the tag and are the same color. Just differant names from Plymouth to Dodge.
