I had given you total access to my original 69 daytona to photograph measure record such details etc.The aftermarket parts usually have a impression from the original part used in duplication.Outlining where to drill out 20 holes or where to cutout required areas pictured

Thank you , hope things are going well with the sale of your car . I ran into a few of your friends at the haddonfield NJ show today . The AMX I restored received the sponsor choice , which was cherry Hill dodge , and took second in his class

One more thing , does the latch tray go over or under the nose lip ?

Also if it helps..Frank Badalson of Roger Gibson Restoration sells the correct latch tray bolts and J Nuts

So do most auto body suppliers if you have a sample.Gibson/Badelson buy them from a supplier, repackage and mark up the price. With a little legwork you can eliminate the middle man. :Twocents:

Bill 62 max welcome to the board.I use to get bolts for useage on my friends daytona and superbird convertible we built up .From a place called Aveco fasteners but you had to buy the amounts they sold in a box box.I had found a think was a place in NJ .That had all the headlight aiming and mounting hardware .For alot less then mopar vendors .I used the thomas registry guide of all manafactures and there specialitys. Some times a vendor was even known to be the vendor chysler used.

If you go on ebay and type in AUVECO it yields results .AUVECO is automotive hardware vendor from way back when

I believe they are 5/16 , 1/2 head . I'm not real concerned with hex markings .

That's not the first example of generosity I've seen from Bill (62 Max) either.  Several guys from the A12 board on Moparts have received some pretty rare parts from Bill's incredible NOS stash on the same terms.

Might not a better example of a true Mopar guy IMHO.

Unfortunately my fiberglass fits better under, and looks better under

nascarxx29

I have known that to be the case where it fitted like that with a fiberglass nose

Larry, Every time I see another decent looking daytona clone, I'm a little more impressed. They're not that easy to build, especially when the parts are crap. I tried that tubing bender that I bought this weekend and I'm definitely going to find a hydraulic press type square tubing bender. That is if I can't find a shop with a cnc bender. That .120 wall stuff is tough to bend. I want my hinges to be perfect. I won't sell sub par stuff and this is going to take a little longer than I thought.

I had to use a 4 ft cheater bar to bend mine ! I'm back on a mission , 8 hrs a day on the daytona !

Larry,
I had the biggest guy in the shop try to bend that .120 wall 1" square tubing and I just don't see how you were able to do it by hand. Damn that stuff is thick. I'm definitely going to have someone do it with a cnc bender.
