I remember a thread a while ago with your green Charger, still hard to believe that is unrestored, great shape.

Why would you want anything else?  Just give me a Charger and I'll be happy.

72chargerSE (Mike),

Thanks for the words.  I went to Carlisle this year though I didn't take the Charger.  I got an offer from someone on one these websites to put the Charger in the Survivor's Tent.  Maybe one of these year's.

Picture's can be a little deceiving sometimes.  After 33 years and 103,000 miles it's not perfect.  The dash pad has a few cracks and the paint a few scratches.  Overall, I'm real pleased with it.  The paint, top, and interior are 100% original.  The drive train is number's matching and has never been touched as far as I know.  About 10 years ago I painted a few things in the engine compartment (valve covers, radiator, etc.).  I hope that doesn't detract from its status.  Anyhow, when I bought the car in '91 it still had the date-coded plug wires, coil, ECU, voltage regulator and such.  I took that stuff off for safe keeping.  I still use the original green floor mats but probably shouldn't.

Here's a few more pix.  Take a look at the huge paint run on the inner rear fender well!  The Polyglas tire is one of the original four.

Bottom line - IMO is that if it wasn't a run of the mill '73 SE with a 318 it probably wouldn't be in near the shape it's in.

Peter,

Ah shucks, I was trying to be modest.

Seriously though, yours is awesome.  And Mike's '72 SE is too.

Mike, is yours F8 green like mine?

AKcharger's is real nice too.  AKcharger - I was in the Air Force for 20 years. Retired in 2004.  What AF base is that?

Heck, I wouldn't knock any of them, just like mikesbbody said.

*Speed costs money son, how fast do you want to go, and for how long?"
*"Build the biggest engine you can afford the first time."
*"We normally wouldn't use a 383 for this build, parts and labor for a 440 cost the same."

Jim,

No, it's F7, I think your color is a bit more GREEN than mine. I'm bad with colors, but I think F7 has a bit of gold in it...

I also think the cloth on your seats is cool! I remember that when I was a kid!! I spent 2 years trying to find NOS cloth for my seats, and finally found yardage about 40 miles from my house!!!!

JimsSE

Mike,

The flake in mine is gold too and it has an olive green look to it under full sun but I think you are right that your's looks more gold.  That's an awesome color.
