Had not had a problem until today when I pulled my lee outside and then I noticed no radio. It seems that the thrid fuse over from right to left looking at the fuse box had blown. So I thought radio problem. No thats not it, because I still have a small spark coming from the ground on the battery terminal when I touch. So I think I the white wire that goes to the stop switch on the pedal is bad, or my emergency flasher switch is bad, because when I tried the flashers this last time they flashed for a couple of seconds then my fuse blown again. As long as I leave the switch unplugged it does not blow a fuse. Just as a note I also lost turn signals and dimmer switch on the panel, perhaps I blown some bulbs there. Any thoughts or suggestions could help guys. Where else to look etc.

there are lots of ways to find a short. a wiring diagram is very helpful if you do not have one try and find a old time short tester, that is the best way. it clips into the #3fuse that has popped and will click on and off while you start to uplug connectors of different devices in the car(turn signal swicth is a good place to start) in the tester stops clicking you found your problem.if you can not find a short tester you can make your own with a 12 volt 15amp circuit breaker and 2 pigtails.be carefull  of this last method if you are not good with wiring you could end up with a lot of melted wires or worse a dash fire. my short tester is made by borroughs tool and equpiment corp.and still works fine after 30 years of service.

Check for any rust on the wires or on any connections, if there is clean them up and use some dielectric grease and see if that fixes your problem

Is it possible that the brake stop switch is causing this.  Just curious

ok brake switch not the problem.  Still blowing fuses, if I unplug the column wiring then no fuse blows, this must be it, also i have no taillights now... :brickwall:

No tail lights ?, that's probably because another fuse blowed.

About the problem... you must have grounded white wire inside column, it could be some peeled off and making contact inside.... it does happened to me. Or broken turning switch making also ground.

Make a continuity testing with every terminal un turning switch harness plug... No one must have continity with chasis
