I had an MPC Model in the late '60s... I don't remember it being an altered wheelbase car like the photos though...

Mr. Norm and Lindamood both owned that car at different times.

Also have a pic of this altered wheelbase funny Charger, note the "Tickle Me Pink" on the door.  Somewhere I have a pic of Lndamoods car making a run before it was painted and lettered with a crudley hand done "Color Me Gone" on it.  I also have pics of the car in the Mr. Norm paint scheme if you want them Bryan.

The MPC kit was DEFINITELY Altered Wheelbase, and was SUPPOSED to be reissued this Fall. BUT Too much of the tooling was missing to do a reissue.

All I can say about that is ...  :brickwall: :brickwall: :brickwall: :brickwall: :brickwall: :brickwall: :brickwall: :brickwall: :brickwall: :RantExplode: :RantExplode: :RantExplode: :RantExplode: :RantExplode:

I REALLY wanted a couple of those things!

Somebody was making resin cast bodies of the altered wheelbase car and then you had to add a couple of other kits to get the whole thing together, a funny car for the chassis and one of those Dodge 330 "Color Me Gone" for the decals.  I have the three but I haven't put it together yet.

Lindamoods first altered wheelbase car ( 1965 coronet )  became the Mr Norms altered base car. And then Gary Dyer used it to build the blown version
Lindamoods 1966-67 altered wheelbase charger ALSO became a Mr Norms car.

I have the original MPC version of both the 66-67 and the 68 car

as far as I know neither car have been found to date.

I have pics , but on an offline PC . I'll ck and see if I can save to a flash drive then post them here.

In addition to the Lindamood car, and the Tickle me Pink car , Don Schumacher also ran an altered 66-67 charger flip top car - Called the Stardust. Also un-accounted for, afaik

Lots of them, it was a popular body back in the day and does warrant it's own thread.
