I just made my own. Use 1/2" banding strap, cut it to the length needed, radius the ends as originals, heat them with a torch till red hot (to soften and become more bendable) drill a hole to either screw on or plug weld (depending on the application). Bend them diagonally and dip in rubber dip used to coat tool handles. BADA BING you've got replacements for a fraction of the cost of the ones selling on ebay!

I'd rather make a hundred of them for about $7.00 using a little ingenuity (A.K.A. reinventing the wheel) than spending $5.00 a piece for a simple little part that could add up to hundreds of dollars through out the car. Just trying to suggest an option for those of us who don't have money falling out of our cavities.  Thank you Silver R/T for your kind comment!

Hundreds of dollars? How many are you planning on using?

I guess my time is just as valueable to me.......I can work on someone else car in the time to fiddle around making things like that and still have less money invested than some people.

They weren't available back when I did my '70, I had to make my own the same way! I think I still have some extras floating around somewhere in my parts bin.

There is one benefit to making your own that I can think of. The reprodcution tabs are bare metal with plastic coated tips so eventually rust will be an issue. However, if you made them and attached them to the valve cover before dipping them or heat shrinking them (whatever) they would be better protected. But if doing an exact reproduction is a priority to you you're not going to get any closer than the Megaparts tabs.

At $5.00 a pop. Between the trunk, floor pan and valve covers you can add up to at least $100.00 in a hurry, that's only 20. I've got 6 under my front seats alone.

hows bout a quick list of where these lil buggers go around the car...and some ref pics to go along with ...thanks ;)

I've always just made my own because I never knew anybody made reproductions. If they do then they must have just started doing so only recently. :scratchchin: LEON.
