Pics from the Keokuk Racers Reunion held 6/19.    We were missing a couple of race cars, but the crowd turnout was quite large and the excitement level very high.

Left to right:   Don White,  Lem Blankenship,  Ramo Stott, Terry Ryan, Gordy Blankenship.    All these guys ran the major stock car circuits, IMCA, ARCA, USAC, and NASCAR at some point in their career.     Terry is the only one not from Keokuk.

Part of the large crowd on hand.

Nice banners from the ceiling.

Ramo and Judy Stott with Ramo's Superbird.

Don White's Dodge Aspen.     My understanding is not a Chrysler Kit Car, but was formerly a big Charger and was cut down.

Don and Verna White.     Don drove the factory Nichels Daytona in 1970 and the former Chrysler Engineering Daytona in 1971.

Jerry Swangler's  ARCA Lebaron.   This car was run by the Keselowski family.

Terry Ryan's USAC Camaro.   Still owned by original driver, and currently vintage raced on dirt.

Barry Miller's Benny Parsons Torino.  This car won the 1968 ARCA championship with a conventional nose.

Jim and Delma McCauley's stunning black on red 4-speed Daytona.

Larry Peterson's Talladega

Jerry Narramore's survivor Hemi Charger.   This car raced locally at Lee Dragway in Keokuk.

Brent and Sherri Evans' Daytona

Ramo's Superbird stands tall in its hometown.

Ramo and his son Lance Stott.

There were walls of photos on display.   This is Daytona 1970.   In the top row two people to the right of Ramo is driver Lem Blankenship who was on the crew at the time.

Lem Blankenship drove Ramo's Superbird in USAC racing during 1970 and 1971 as car #77.    Lem was a very good driver and always ran well in the Bird.    I think his best result was a 2nd at Milwaukee in 1971.    Lem said the car would flat out haul at Michigan.

Ramo signed autographs for several hours on Saturday.

Looks like a great gathering.
Any chance we'll see Ramo drive the car in St. Louis?  ;D
