Ok, might be a dumb question but here goes anyway.

My Charger has the A41 option which is White Hat Special
However.. it also has the V1X option which is black vinyl roof if I'm not mistaken.
I was under the impression the roof should be white vinyl.
Can someone fill me in here?

ps. You may have noticed from my avitar that I have removed the vinyl roof alltogether but I'm just curious as to what should have been on the car

Awesome pics of the old "White Hat Special" ads!  Brings back many memories and I wish I had bought one of those 383-2bbl. models when they were new.  A Charger model would have been just right.

You could even get the 1969 WHS Chargers with the 383-4bbl., although most were 318 or 383-2bbls. versions (from what I have seen).  TDC said they were fairly rare to find when I registered mine years ago.....

A 1969 White Hat Special would be awesome and a 383 4bbl would be even better! I used to ride around in a 1968 slick-body 383 4bbl. charger that belonged to a sgt.in the Marines( I was a Marine sgt. at the time) that he bought brand new and it was a FINE ride! Hemi orange with black interior and a real nice car but he traded it just before going back to Vietnam for a 1969 B5 R/T. Got a little mad at him for not telling me first but I am sure the pressure was put on him to sell and/or trade in the '68.  Took his car back to San Antonio before he rotated back to RVN (3rd time and first in the airwing) and I lost track of him. Sure hope he made it.

I was a crew chief and doorgunner in RVN and could fill a book with stories! Came home in May 1968 after a tour there and saw many badazz MOPARS in the  flesh and new! Always been a MOPAR guy and will die one even though I just own a truck (Dodge) and my old 1969 now. Yes,I have other cars and now have a Lexus , A Toyota, and an Infiniti too. Maybe someday.

That's the same bronze my Charger was originally but mine had black roof from the start.
Ya know, I never realised just how nice it must have once looked til I just saw yours.
Mine was covered in primer when I bought her.
