Is the wiring harness the same for the ralley dash w/gauges verses the standard dash w/gauges?  Thanks Bob

They are different. There's a difference in number of bulb sockets, branch wires, etc.
At least, from what I have seen.

The granny gauges have a circuit board on the backside with a round cluster of pins which the underdash wiring harness plugs into. I replaced mine 4 years ago with a Rallye cluster out of a 73. I just cut the connector at the end of the wiring harness, unwrapped some of the harness and connected the wires directly to the gauges or used butt connectors where I had to. You will have to change the oil pressure sending unit. It's also a lot easier to work under the dash with the front seats removed. I have no pics because this was done before I had a digi camera.

Ok, now I have a related question. My current rallye dash is     the non tach non clock version. I want to put a tack in it which means I have to change the metal housing too. Is the wiring the same for those? Or what do I need to add for the tach?

just need add the wire from negative terminal of coil. On your engine harness you can use the empty cavity to run the wire with a male spade terminal there, and the same from bulkhead wit a spade female terminal up to tach what I think uses a bullet female kind.

also feed with a separate wire the positive source from accesories feed what is a green wire with a tripple female bullet yellow rubber isolator ( is the same where is feeded the A/C and rear deffog blower ) up to tach what I think uses a spade prong.

here is the back view of cluster... don't need even to unwrapp the original underdash wiring tape... if you want an original look there just wrapp it over the original one.

the accesories source is not wrapped to the rest of harness, just the one coming from bulkhead as far I know.

So, for my car with the plain Rallye dash, all I have to do is run a wire from negative terminal of coil & run a wire from the positive source from accessories feed to the tac? Just wanna be sure I understand you.
