Here's one you may enjoy. It's a 69 Charger in its original F5 paint. Here's a picture the day I dropped it off at my detailer's place.

$150 later, this is what it looked like. The old enamels can really be woken up.

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

My first car in 1979 was 69 Charger. I towed it home, put a new timing chain in it, and drove the wheels off it. Thanks goodness it was a $150 green car. If it were any other color I could not have afforded it. Green can be good  :icon_smile_tongue:

Ive parted out 46 SRT8's and fixed/drove 6 wrecked SRT8's over the past 5 years...so yeah! The B5 Super Bee is my next car to part out....what a shame too since it only has 49K miles and runs/drives. I do have 7 or 8 old mopars without front end damage though!

Haters, I challenge you to post up pics of YOUR cars, I, and I am sure other green car owners, want to see if you have any business pickin at our cars for freakin color!

I've yet to see anyone in this thread really hating on green cars anyway....just friendly banter. Color is a personal thing...you like it or you don't. Mine is going to be blue...but I guarantee the finished article will divide the crowd.
If at first you don't succeed, skydiving is not for you !!

Baloney. Vile as a description is not friendly banter. And, gonna be is about what I expected. Good pic of mine on august 2017 Snap On calendar.

Agree--Our cars were sold in the colors that moved them to the public at the time.
We are a large group with many impulses.
I like that my "avacado" (F8) colored 69 Coronet hemi 4sp matched my stove and refrgerator of the day.

What is the top popular color of this day?---Should I change mine to fit in? :nana: :icon_smile_wink:

How do you have time for this ? Or do you do this for a living ?

BTW My 70 Charger was F5 Pea Green. I HAD TO REPAINT IT ANOTHER COLOR ASAP.

It's just weekend fun-I have a full time job during the week. The trick is to invest in some quality time saving tools and then just do the same cars over and over! I am notoriously cheap on tools but I bit the bullet and bought 2 new Milwaukee Fuel impacts (1/2" and 3/8" drive) and they have revolutionized the way I work on cars. Between the impacts and doing only SRT8's I can completely strip and disassemble an SRT in about 12-15 hours (about 3 partial Saturdays). As I strip parts, I take pics and list on eBay. I usually only work on the cars on Saturday and I box sold parts in the evenings after the kids are in bed. I am slowing down though. I used to get a full Saturday to work and now I'm down to about 3-4 hours per Saturday.

Sometimes it isn't easy being green.

PS.  I also found another teeny barn.
Who in their right mind would say

"The science should not stand in the way of this."?

Science is just observation and hypothesis.  Policy stands in the way.........

Or maybe it protects us.

I suppose it depends on the specific case.....

1st, It's bad enough having to say I own a GREEN car, 2nd being seen driving a GREEN car, 3rd, it don't scream any GREENER than this, I just wish this car had originally been any other colour other than GREEN, try driving a "watermellon" around without getting strange looks  :nana:
