What price would you expect to see for one of these?

I just bought this from a guy I've known for years. It was bought in 1984 and has been in  a box since then.

Some of the silver painted edges will need to be scuffed and repainted but it is complete and has no cracks!

It needs a good washing but it should be restorable for minimal cash. I've never had anything New-Old-Stock before. With 2 1970 Chargers here, I'm happy to have a spare grille.
When I heard that this was available, I was hesitant to ask the price. The man wanted $1200 but cut me a deal at $1000.
SCORE!

You did well, where else are ya gonna get one!  :2thumbs: I bought a full grill/bumper set off eBay years ago cleaned/painted it and it's on my car now for 900.00. Sold the removed one, shipped to Europe so about broke even. Man that was a lot of work but my original had a few sagging areas on the top plastic.

Great score! I am not up on the prices of 70 stuff, but I know 68/69 grilles in ok shape were fetching double what you paid for that.

My original was not cracked or damaged anywhere but like a dummy, when I painted the car, I refinished the grille in a non stock manner. My silver portions are too shiny.

Looking at correct restorations, it seems like the silver/gray areas are at best...a matte finish.
I am not one to aim for factory correct features everywhere but many times that is the best looking choice.
