I have a stripped engine block & one steel wheel in Washington state that I would like to get to Iowa. The seller in Washington contacted Fastenal there about shipping. Fastenal told him they could only get it to Montana & could not ship it to Iowa. Anybody ever heard of this situation before??? Anybody have another reasonable source that could ship these?? Thanks

So my "other" hobby is old coin operated arcade and pinball machines. Fastenal is a relatively popular shipping option in those circles and folks are very much concerned about the machines not being damaged. Artwork is akin to paint in car circles. The catch is you're responsible for packaging, palletizing, and drop off at a Fastenal location. They then ONLY ship to another Fastenal location where it must also be picked up. This may explain why no Iowa option.

I've not actually used them however as I've not needed to ship a game in quite a few years.

If you're looking for feedback on the process google "Fastenal pinball" and you're likely to end up on pinside.com.
