Before the antique car hobby, I was into boats. Basically, born and  raised in a boat. My parents had a cottage on a lake in NH until the mid 90's.
Had to sell all my toys in the early 90' due to the recession.
Was able to get back into the car hobby but never bought another boat, although my wife and I have kayaked for years. After 40 years of carpentry,  kayaking isn't as fun as it use to be so one day I told the wife, let's buy another money pit- let's buy a boat.
So it couldn't be just any boat. Always loved the Chrysler go fast boats back in the days, so I concentrated on Chrysler products. Just as I was about to give up and look for my 2nd choice (Glastron Carlson) I stumbled upon this gem. Only problem is that it was located in Parry Sound, Ontario (and I don't have a passport).
Owner was super nice and agreed to meet me in Alexandria Bay, NY with the boat.
1975 Chrysler Conqueror 135 with a 105 Chrysler outboard. The owner restored the boat during covid lockdown so it has all new stringers, flotation, transom and floor.
I had to buy a new trailer since the NTSB wouldn't allow his trailer to be sold in the US because of some VIN # issue.

Got a hitch on the RamCharger? Bring both to Carlisle.. LOL

Weird, trailer is so bad somehow we don't let it on the road. Anyway. I loved going out on my father in law's sailboat in the Chesapeake but he said owning it was akin to standing in the shower in your clothes and ripping up $100 bills.

Ha Ha, already feeling that pain. The prop was knicked up so I decided to buy a new one. No dice. Spent hours on line, found a couple used ones that were SS, I wanted aluminum so if you hit a rock you bend a prop blade, not snap the lower unit driveshaft. Actually found a used aluminum local for $75.00, sweet deal, brought my prop over to compare, all good. Get back to the shop, the holes for the drive pin on the prop don't align with the hole in the output shaft by 1/16" :icon_smile_blackeye: Decided to repower the boat with a much newer used motor. Chasing parts for the old Mopar cars are bad enough, the outboard motor will been even worse.
