If I remember right, that was a made for TV movie for the channel USA. I remember seeing the previews for it a few weeks before it aired. It was stupid, but worth watching.
If it ain't broke, fix it 'till it is.

Ever seen "The Car" with James Brolin, from about 1977?

Well, "Wheels of Terror" is basically a lower-grade remake(!) of that movie that the USA channel did in 1990.  They used a 3rd-gen Charger with a bent-down front bumper to look more evil.

They definitely went through several beaten-up Chargers although I don't know any real details.  It's been years since I saw the flick.  I do remember that the amount of damage that car/character took made the General Lee & Christine seem like lightweights.

Wheels of Terror

Yah, I'm addicted to that movie!! I love it!! it has been my a favorite movie. The Charger inspired me! Don't ask me how many times i have seen it.

Wheels of Terror

Well, I love the movie for obvious reasons. It is pretty cool to see a 3rd gen Charger thet has a mind of it's own. i also have a 74. He resembles WOT in more ways then cosmetic. When I said favorite movie, I should have said it is tied with others. I have a whole collection of car movies, from Two Lane Black Top, The Car, Smokey and the Bandit 1/2/3,Christine,Black Cadillac, and others. i just love supernatural cars! ;D  ;D LOL

if you do that to a bulge hood your commiting an atrocity of the worst sort. you mayas well install a fiat 4 cylinder into the car too.

Two Lane Black Top is killer. James Taylor was great in that one ! I have to get that on DVD. Wheels Of Terror is just f-ing sweeeeet! :METAL: :METAL:

heheh - that's pretty cool - I love old b-movies about cars.  Ever seen "the Wraith"?  I found a site where a guy is trying to restore one of the 6 cars used in the movie.  Pretty cool car :)
