I never paid attention to this thread... but since I took one decent shot, well here is:

No tripod just camera over a fence and my hand ( it took me maybe 20 shots before this, DAAAMN, it was HARD, and still not perfect ), 2.5 seconds, 200 ISO, f5.6
Venezuelan RT 74 400 4bbl, 727, 8.75 3.23 open. Now stroked with 440 crank and 3.55 SG. Here is the History and how is actually: http://www.dodgecharger.com/forum/index.php/topic,7603.0/all.html

for those who don't know, is the B.E. JUAN SEBASTIAN EL CANO School Ship, of the Spanish Navy. It's in Santander right now, where I am at this moment

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spanish_ship_Juan_Sebasti%C3%A1n_Elcano_(1927)

( english wikipedia page is very poor about really, but searching around will find nice pictures of it )

Venezuela has its own School Ship too, called B.E. SIMON BOLIVAR which is really nice too, just a little bit smaller. there are several of those around

( B.E. stands for Buque Escuela or School Ship )

I've never been to the Midwest. Are your sunrises normally this vivid? Out west this would be a forest fire inspired sunset. Awesome picture!

I'm in Ohio.   That sky is more common at sunset here (dust in the sky).  Sunrise,,,, not so much.

Reminds me of a little ditty I learned when I was a child, "Red skies at night, sailors delight. Red skies at morning, sailors take warning."
