Those pictures are awesome. I really hope to go in that building someday. I hear pictures just can't compare to the size of that building.

Well even though you cant feel the building swaying I believe it actually sways about 5 1/2 feet.

I was also lucky enough to get into the Burj al Arab.
My nephew has a connection in there so we were able to drive right up to the front door and go inside.
We also snuck up the elevator lol
Here's some pics

I hope everyday wasn't that way... that can put a real damper on your cruise experience.

The view inside what I assume is a hotel is beautiful. WOW.

Some pictues from last weekend

Brock Samson

those are pretty gosh durn good!  :2thumbs: i been there, many times.. but never with a camera.. i ordered a new one last Fri.. That last of Half Dome is EXCELLENT!  :icon_smile_wink:

ChgrSteve67

Unfortunately those pictures are taken with my sport camera. I get a 50 / 50 ratio of good and bad images.
Its hard to take a bad picture in Yosemite if you have a decent camera.

I really want to get a DSLR camera with a good standard lens and a telephoto.

The day I took the half dome photo there were about a dozen or so people on the top walking around. I could see them thought the telescope at Glacier Point but my camera just doesn't have the capabilities to zoom in that far. It would have been a awesome shot.

Another pic from last week.
It's the Temple of Hercules smack bang in the middle of Amman, Jordan.
They're still uncovering many ruins in the immediate vicinity as well.

Nikon D7000(seven thousand, didn't want to confuse with the D700).  Simply the best DSLR made at a very affordable price.  It's a DX format but out performs pretty much everything and image quality is only second to the D3X(nikon's flag ship)
It's simply incredible, no other way to put.
Dont get the kit lens(18-105) It's a waste of $300.
Buy the body and then decide what you want to do lens wise. There are multiple scenarios and at every price point you can imagine.  I would be glad to suggest some though.
Life isn't Father Knows Best anymore, it's a kick in the face on a saturday night with a steel toed grip kodiak work boot and a trip to the hospital all bloodied and bashed.....for reconstructive surgery. But, what doesn't kill us, makes us stronger, right?
