Hey Allen,
Not to get to far off the wheel subject here, but have you given any thought to what you are going to do about your leaf springs? You may not have thought this far ahead yet but I need to replace them on my Road Runner. They're sagging so I'm leaning towards new rather than rebuild. I was thinking ESPO or Eaton. I'd appreciate your thoughts.

I plan to use new leaf springs on the C500.  Several years ago I bought a new set of "superstock" leaf springs from a friend after he decided not to use them on his '63 Max Wedge car.  He later borrowed them back, and they have been on his car ever since...  I might need to buy another set...  :P

Maybe someone will chime with recomendations...  :popcrn:

For your info Allen I've gotten quotes from Eaton Spring ($645.25) And ESPO ($288.43) for my '69 RoadRunner. This is complete package correct springs and all new related hardware plus shipping. There must be a reason for such a drastic difference in price but I can't seem to find it.   :brickwall: I've brought this topic up in a couple other forums and the consesus is that the people who have bought ESPO are happy, the Eaton supporters say you get what you pay for and they are happy. I've gotten mixed reviews on the Mopar Performance springs some people are happy but more people complained about sagging after a year.  :shruggy: My next step was to look into a local spring rebuilding place. I only want to do this once, I've had this car for almost 30 years and plan on keeping it for another 30.

I have had ESPO on my Daytona for about 6 years and they are doing great.  I had a set on my SuperBird before that.  They are great to work with too, excellent customer service.

I had put the Mopar Performance ones on a '67 Coronet and always thought they sat too low from day one.

I got E body rear leaf springs in for my Charger (newbie in shipping) luckily as soon as I found out they shipped correct ones without waiting for wrong ones to return. So your not concerned about correct part # on rear springs for Blue Thunder?

I am not sure what your question is, but I have not ordered rear springs yet.  If your question is about originality, I will probably go with aftermarket new springs instead of originals that need to be re-curved every 3-5 years.  I will save the originals tho...  Bolt on parts are an easy swap, and my C500 is not a totally correct concours restoration...  I will try to buy correct appearing repros if possible.
