Thought you might find this interesting.

This car was for sale up in the Idaho or Montana years and years ago.  I wanted a 500 and don't remember how I got this guys number but he sent me the pic.  The car was too much money at the time and too far for me to go get it.

I know you eagle eyes out there will notice the SE emblems.

good picture :yesnod:   :scope: stripe color side marker reflector housing's :scratchchin: :popcrn:
Yes, but that is defiantly not the factory stripe. :yesnod:

Another 500 with Dart GTS style wheel covers!

hctub

Looks like factory paint so probably a good argument that it was a stripe delete car?  This was around 1979 or 1980 and look at the rust already around the rear wheel opening.

All 500's and Daytona's were coded for stripe delete, but they all had their unique Stripes on the tail end. Creative put them on. You couldn't get one with a emblem or anything, there was always a stripe. :yesnod:

Ha, just realized I put a pic of the Daytona nose in a thread about the Superbird!!!  Here is another pic that shows the finished nose of the bird.

We ended up saving everything except the fiberglass headlight door.  Luckily someone was reproducing them at the time.  We even saved the parking light frames.  It did have some bondo in it but not as much as you might think.

Here are some of the final pics.  The car was from New Jersey and the rest of it had more bondo than the nose.  This was about 1979 and the trunk was already rusted all the way out and had a thick metal cover on the bottom.

I don't know if you guys would like to see them or not but I have pic's from a 1980 National meet in Baltimore for all the aero cars which included the Talladega and Cyclone II.  It is the pic's they sold in the album for the event so it has pics of cars and people too although I didn't scan the people pics unless someone wants to see them.

Nice picture of the B5 blue SE 500. That car recently was purchased by a gentleman here on the board. And oddly enough the broadcast sheet to that car was in another board members 500 which he purchased brand new. Small world when it comes to these cars.

I'm just wondering because here in British Columbia, theres a guy by the name of Gordon (I think?) who shows a B5 Blue '69 C500 SE with a white stripe and blue interior.

Did you have a car there and whats your name?  I do have a group photo of those that attended but the file is to large to load here.

Anyone know how to shrink the file?

I don't think we were in the group photo...i'm not sure, though.  It would have been Rick and Carol Croxford (I doubt 5 year old me would have been listed.)

send me the photo at charger4sp@aol.com and I can resize it for you
