That color is SWEET! It looks like metallic orchid - is it? My dad always loved that color, he said if he ever got another car to restore that's what he'd paint it.

This is my 1969 Charger R/T she's being restored right now, she's not as cluttered as in the pic now.

Has anyone ever seen a 66 charger that was painted Panther Pink? They made a johnny lightning of it.
I'm smarter than I act, But I don't act smarter than I am.

Finn

Pink looks awesome on that 66. :yesnod:
I remember there was a story in a magazine about a pink hemi first gen owned by some old lady for years. It was stored for a long time so it was very original except for the hemi badges she had swapped out for ?383s? because no one would race her otherwise haha.

There was one made in Playboy Pink and given to the centerfold of the year in 1966.  Her name was Allison Parks and as far as I know the car is unaccounted for.  There are pics of it elsewhere on the site.

WOW! Great looking car. It reminds me of my fathers when I was young. I can remember saying; "Daddy do a donut, daddy do a donut" and no matter where we were or where we were going, at the first intersection, he'd push that chrome button and slam that shifter into first and slam the throttle, cut the wheel and launch that old pale yellow (his was a '68),hot dusty dirty black interior Charger into a series of donuts that would make Jimmy Johnson blush!! (and scare the crap outta me) HA! wow that was fun! Can't do that stuff nowadays, heck I was 8? 9? all of about 50lbs, I'm SURE I didn't have a seat-belt on (not to mention in a baby seat). They'd lock ya up and throw away the key nowadays!!

mauve66

forgot to post some other post of old interior although stereo will probably go back in, GV o/d in dash, Shift-R-Arm in console is out due to Lightning Rods going in, and "what if" license plate for when the car is finally done (those in the know say that will NEVER happen :shruggy: ) The what if is what if Mopar had all of their best ideas and new technology back in 66 for a Super Stock Dodge Charger instead of Coronet/Belvidere......................  Daytona wing, stroker big block, Digital fuel injected 6pak on supestock manifold, overdrive tranny, 4 wheel disc brakes, road racing suspension, etc etc etc.......

maybe thats why they say it'll never be done???? :shruggy: :shruggy:
